Welcome to Berwyn's 34th Street Construction Updates

Over the past two weeks, the contractor installed almost 900 feet of new water main, roughly the length of three football fields, along 34th Street!

As work progresses, residents may continue to see temporary lane closures, parking restrictions, and occasional water service interruptions while crews connect the new water main to the existing system. The project team will provide impacted property owners as much advanced notice as possible when water shutoffs or other impacts are required. 

In the coming weeks, water main installation will continue eastward along 34th Street toward Oak Park Avenue. Crews will also begin restoring pavement, sidewalks, curbs and parkways throughout the project area.
